67th National Film Awards: Tulu film “Pingara” wins National Award

Preetham Shetty directional Tulu film “Pingara” wins National Award for the Best Tulu film.

Preetham Shetty who has directed several Television serial, for this film he is written story, screenplay, dialogues and done direction.

Neema Ray, Sharan Shetty, Usha Bhandari, Guru Hegde, Sinchan Chandrashekhar, Sunill Nelligudde, Prashank CK and others were featured in the film.

Plot narrated on the Journalist visits to a village in Tulu Nadu to ‘write on Tulu Culture’ .The film also highlights the ritual of Buta Kola, shows the immense diversity of the Tulu culture.

Earlier “Pingara” was also banged Jury award at Bengaluru International Film Festival held at Bengaluru during March 2020.

Film was produced by Avinash U Shetty and D N Manjunath Reddy. Mime Ramdas & Sheena Nadoli composed music for the film.
