‘Barsa’ Music Review

A fastest growing Tulu Film Industry has given many musical hits like ‘Pilibail Yamunakka’ this year. ‘Barsa’ is an add-on to year’s chartbuster list. Arjun Kapikad’s ‘Barsa’ audio released recently in a grand event. There are five songs in the album all songs are composed remarkably by Devadas Kapikad. In the very first hearing, all the song appeals to you.

First Track a catchy number Taaseda Pett, lots of quality to it because songs made with the beats of tradition ‘Pili Vesha’ (Tiger Dance). Kapikad penned this song lyrics by spotting a group of girls who were seeing ‘Pili Vesha’ on the occasion of Dasara and sure that this song is going to rock all over Tulunadu during this Dasara Festival.

Second Track Monedu Ninna, a Romantic dance number crooned by Arjun Kapikad and Roopa Prakash. Sounds like extended version of last year’s hit ‘ Mattada Ponnu’. Arjun himself carved lyrics for this track.

Third track ‘Satyoda aa Tudar’ Devotional kind slow-paced track that has been crooned by Devadas Kapikad, song focuses on cultures of Tulunadu like Kola, Kambula with beautiful pieces of flute melodies in between. Kapikad used original flute recordings which came out smoothly.

Last one Oh My Baby song made for folks who have a penchant for romantic songs. No words to describe the loveliness of this song. Track recorded in two versions one with Singer Karthik and other with Arjun Kapikad. Lyrics of this song heart-melting especially the lines “Barsa.. Pani Pani Barsa….”.
