Yes you have heard it right. There is a Tulu film which was shot in just 24 hours and holds a record.

The film September 8 was directed and produced by Richard Castelino under the banner of Rajalakshmi Films with a budget of 17 lack. Vasnath V Amin has scripted the film.

This film had 7 multiple stories that was shot in different locations of Mangalore and Bangalore which was led by team of 7 cinematographers Sundarnath Suvarna, Venkatarathnam, Mahendra, Chittibabu, Vasanthkumar, Malesh and Venkatesh.

Shooting of film was done on September 8 from 6 a.m. to p.m. The lead role was played by Kannada actor Late Sunil and great Kannada writer Dr. K. Shivram Karanth others include Kannada Actress Geeta, Shruthi, Umashree, Ramesh Bath, Sarojini Shetty.

Music of September 8 was directed by Charan Kumar, penned by Rama Kirodiyan and Vijaykumar Kodialbail. S P Balasubramanyam, Chandrika Gururaj, Manjula Gururaj and Kasturi Shankar were the playback singers.

Earlier Richard Castelino released “Bangar Patler” in the year 1993 which ran successfully for 105 days. His next film September 8 got released on 7th may 1994 in Jyothi Theater, but the film missed acceptance from the audience.
