‘Umil’ Movie Review: 101th Tulu film ‘Umil’ was released on 7th of this month. After the success of ‘Dombarata’, this is Director Ranjith Suvarna’s second film in which he is written, screenplay and dialogues.
Even though lack of theaters and only multiplex shows, film ‘Umil’ opens in high swing. For the first time in the Tulu film Industry graphical ‘Umil’(Mosquito) used to entertain audience. Film lead by Umesh Mijar, Puja and Navya Poojari followed by comedy stars of Tulu film Industry Naveen D Padil, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor and Aravind Bolar.

‘Ponnapura’ is a place where you get to see only female born kids, in a rare change a boy kid will born which is Umesh Mijar, after he grows his parents wants him to be an actor and sends to the town.
Along with new town friend Naveen D Padil he tries the best to get into films, later also falls in love with the neighbor girl Nisha (Navya Poojari). After going away from Nisha he also falls for the rich bold girl Shravya (Puja). What is the big twist which stuns Hero of the film? Why ‘Umil’ (Mosquito) wants to trouble hero? All this questions you will get answer once you watch this film in Big Screen near you.
For the first time Umesh Mijar will be seen in the lead role and he does his best to entertain audience, lead actress Puja looks stunning with her bold looks. Second lead Navya Poojari as Nisha stuns young heart with her gorgeous gaze.
In the comedian role Bhojarajraj Vamanjoor will be seen in eight different emotions like Hasya(laughter), Karuna (sorrow), Raudra (anger), Veera ( heroism), Shantha (peace) and others, each emotion he play with perfection.
Yakshagana artist Seetharam Kulal, Aravid Bolar, Naveen D Padil, Deepak Rai and Sathish Bandale will take you in to Laughter Ocean.
When it comes to the Technical part, films Graphical part has done perfectly. With the brilliant camera work and perfection in editing part, film stands rich! Power star Puneeth Rajkumar crooned “Ravond Ravond Bathund Umil” and duet “Per Paper Kanayere Poye” song makes a perfect hear.
Overall, it’s a brilliant work from Ranjith Suvarna and team! Film has Perfection in each corner. Good to watch will be an year-end entertainer.
